10 Ways To Re-Use An Empty Candle

If you are like me and use up candles quite quickly (because you love them) then you might want to think about re-using the jar/pot (especially if its really pretty!). There are so many ways you can re-use them but here are some of the things that I do.

But, firstly you need to clean out the jars.
If they have any wax left in them, you can put them in the freezer and after a few hours when you take them out, if you get a knife (be careful!) then you can break the wax left in the bottom and it should come out really easily in a few pieces. If there is any black marks around the edge from the burning, then you can get a cotton pad with nail polish on and wipe over it and it will come off.

Makeup brushes
The large jars are really good for this and look really pretty on your dressing table.

Lip balms
This looks really cute and this Yankee Candle simply home jar is great for this.

Makeup
This is quite a nice way to hold your makeup and if you put some of your everyday products in it then it's easy to get to.

Loose change
I always keep penny's and 2ps when I get them because if you save them up you can go to the bank and exchange them for cash. Big jars are good for this because they can hold a lot.

Hairbands and Hair grips
If you're like me and always lose hair bands and hair grips, then it's a good idea to keep them in one place. Small jars are good for holding the grips and bigger ones are great for hair bands and hair accessories.

Cotton pads and buds
Big jars with lids are great for cotton pads, because you don't want dust to get to them if you are using them for your face. Small jars are also good for cotton buds.

Pens and Pencils
The larger jars are good for this and they can look really pretty on your desk.

Treats
Okay, not going to lie this is my favourite. You can put whatever sweets/chocolates that you want in it and it just looks really cute. I put these Halloween chocolates in this jar and lets just say they didn't last long.

Plants
You can have any size jar for this. Cacti look really cute in them and so do succulents.

Jewellery
If you have a few delicate rings then it's good to keep them same in a small jar/pot for next to all your other jewellery.

Let me know if you have any other ideas and thank you for reading!
Love, Emma x
