March Favourites

I'm not sure why but my monthly favourites posts are always the most popular on my blog and my first one I did is still the most viewed post on my blog. So I thought I'd do another one as I have been trying out a few new things. This is also a collab with  Holly Andromeda, who has an amazing blog and her Instagram feed is also amazing so make sure to go and check her post out! So lets get started...

Yankee Candle- Fresh Cut Roses
As spring has sprung now, I love lighting spring scented candles and this one from Yankee candle smells amazing! Whenever I light it, it makes the whole room smell and it's just really nice. I've also burnt it so many times and it's still going strong.

Liz Earle 'cleanse and polish hot cloth cleanser'
I have been using this cleanser on and off for a while now, but this month I've really been loving it again. I've talked (well wrote) about it quite a lot before and have done a post talking about it (click here to read it) so I won't ramble on too much about it. It's just a cream cleanser that you massage into your face and takes your makeup off leaving your skin really clean and healthy. It's also got lots of natural ingredients like rosemary, chamomile and cocoa butter.

Liz Earle 'instant boost skin tonic'
I mentioned this in my morning skincare routine post I did a few weeks ago and I've really been liking it lately. I just feel like it's such a lovely product and it's so soothing.

Soap & Glory 'one heck of a blot powder'
This powder is the only powder I've tried that doesn't leave your face looking like you've put flour on it. With a lot of powders you can see them on your face, but with this one it's completely invisible and still keeps your face from being shiny for ages. I talked about this before in my Soap & Glory Faves post I did back in December and I still love it. However as you can see it's running out and I've only got a little bit left.

Barry M 'mani-mask'
I have done a whole post all about this so if you want to check that out then just click here. But basically I've been wearing this a lot on my nails throughout March and I just really like the concept and I think it had definitely helped my nails.

Burt's Bees lip balms
These lip balms are seriously good. They are 100% natural and are so moisturising and hydrating. I have the mango butter one and the honey one and I always make sure I have one in my bag wherever I go. I also keep one in my pencil case at school and I use it all the time.

Rimmel London 'Kate lasting finish' lipstick in '03'
For me this is the perfect nude lipstick and it gives quite a matte finish which is a little different for me but I love wearing this. It also smells like sweets which is a bonus.

And finally the Youtubers/bloggers I've been watching a lot lately are Emily Rose, Fabulous Hannah, and Leyla Rose. All of their videos are so good and they all seem really sweet.

Easter Nails

Whenever I paint my nails I never do any fancy nail art. I'm always quite lazy and just have one colour, even though I'm quite an artistic person. But I thought what better time to try some nail art than Easter. Last year I did little Easter egg designs and this year I've put a little bunny on my ring finger nails. They're not that neat but this is the second time I've ever tried nail art, so let me off.

These are the nail polishes I used....
Purple- Barry M Speedy Quick Dry// Need For Speed
White- Barry M Speedy Quick Dry// Cotton
Black- Models Own HyperGel// Jet Black
Pink- Barry M Speedy Quick Dry// Kiss Me Quick

Thank you for reading! and let me know if you ever do nail art and if you have any tips for it ( because as you can see I'm not the best at it).

A Mask For Your Nails? // BarryM Mani-Mask

When I first heard about this nail-polish I was very intrigued. It basically is a treatment for your nails which is meant to strengthen and condition your nails. It also has a semi-matte finish and is a very pale pink so is very natural (you can't even tell you're wearing it at all). My nails aren't really damaged at all but I still think that this is such a good idea and I've recently just been wearing this for school. I haven't noticed much of a difference yet but I haven't broken a nail in ages (touch wood) so I guess this has helped to strengthen them. I love the matte look it gives as I just think that matte nail polish looks so cool and it also makes it more natural, so if your school doesn't allow nail polish (like mine, I know right, first world problems) then this is perfect. And you also know that it is doing some good for your nails.
You can find the BarryM Mani-Mask in Boots and Superdrug as well so its easy to find.

Thank you for reading! let me know if you have tried this out yet and what you think of it.

Morning Skincare Routine

I've lately been keeping to a different skincare routine and am using a few different things from when I did my last post. So I thought I'd show you what I use. I think it's really important to look after your skin, so I've tried quite a few products to see what works well for me and I think I've found the perfect routine. Saying that, I'll probably change it up again soon!

So first of all in the mornings I use the Spot Stress Control daily scrub from Neutrogena. This lasts ages and you only need a little bit. You can also use it everyday and it doesn't dry your skin out at all. I definitely notice a difference in my skin when I don't use this, so if you're a teenager like me and get a few blemishes or spots, I would strongly recommend this. It also smells of cucumber so is really refreshing in the morning and your skin feels so squeaky clean afterwards.
After I've washed my face I then use the Instant Boost Skin Tonic from Liz Earle, as a toner. This has such a delicate smell and makes your skin feel so fresh. I just put a little bit onto a cotton pad then swipe it over my face and it feels so smooth on your skin.
Then I use the Eyebright soothing eye lotion from Liz Earle as it really helps to wake me up, as I'm not really a morning person. This just, as it says on the bottle, is really soothing on your eyes and I've almost finished it, which makes me really sad. I'll have to pick up a new one!
Then, lastly I use the Shine Control Day Moisturiser from Tea Tree & Witch Hazel (Boots). This has a gel-like consistency, so isn't such a heavy moisturiser. I've also used this for so long now and love it.

Thank you for reading! Let me know if you use any of these products or what your favourite skincare bits are.

Urban Decay Naked 2 | Review

The Urban Decay Naked palettes have been raved about so much everywhere, so I knew I had to get one. I couldn't resist. I picked the Naked 2 because you can create so many looks with it and I knew that I would make use of all the shades. It will also last me ages so I think it's good to invest in a really nice eye-shadow palette. There are 12 shades altogether, some matte and some shimmery.  They are just all so beautiful and I still get excited every time I use it! The packaging is also really nice even though it's quite plain compared to the others.

One of my favourite shades is Tease. It's a matte brown shade and looks so nice on its own or with foxy in the inner corner. Half-baked is also amazing and is a really nice golden shimmery shade.
All of the shades are also SO pigmented and blend so seamlessly.

When I first got this I never thought I'd use 'Blackout', a matte black shade, but I actually really like using it on my upper lash line, as it's just gives it some definition and is great if you can't be bothered with liquid eyeliner.

You also get four samples of Urban Decays 'Primer Potion'. There is Original, Eden- a nude matte, Sin- a champagne shimmer, and Anti-ageing. The only one I have tried so far is the original and I really like it. It makes eye-shadows last all day and it's so smooth to put on your eyes.

Thank you for reading! let me know if you own any of the naked palettes and if you are as obsessed as I am.
